Team Building Days

Here at Appleyard Studios, we know how important it is to have fun at work while still being professionally minded. This is why we offer companies large or small an opportunity to join us for a day.

We offer corporate away days and team building packages to suit all budgets.
Weather you want to take your workforce out for a well deserved break, or want to improve your office well-being with a team building day, we can cater for all.

Which makes for an inspirational day out.
We are aware that your company may not be located near our venue, so we can arrange transport to pick up and drop off at you place of work (prices on request)

Now, you may be worried about you lack of musical experience, but don’t worry, as we have experts on hand to help you through the day. You might even learn a new skill or two on the way.

We are situated just off the A21, over looking the valley of Salehurst and beyond, which makes for an inspirational day out.

Recording Days

This really is the ultimate fun day out. Get the chance to record 3 songs as a large group (Band-aid style!) or in a smaller pop group size.
You get the chance to select from our huge catalogue of professional backing track. Lyrics are also supplied, so there is no excuse for not knowing the words.

You will get the chance to learn how to work as a vocal group, taking harmonies, dynamics etc. No vocal experience is needed, as we have a professional singer on hand to help and guide you through the rehearsal stage.
Then it’s into the recording room to cut you tracks and work with our professional engineer to get the best from you experience.

Pop star moves are a must for this process!!!

Throughout the day we will be recording your session on DVD for you to take home as a keepsake with us.

Coffee/tea, lunch and refreshments will be available all day.

We can cater for a maximum of 20 people in one session.

10:30 Start to work on your tunes
11:30 Break
11:45 More work on fine tuning your tunes
12:45 Buffet lunch
13:30 Into the recording room to get levels and recording techniques.
14:00 Recording of your tracks
15:15 Break
15:30 Back to finishing of recording
17:00 Playback of semi-mastered tracks
18:00 Session over for the day

Team Building Rock School

Topp Strings has been a highly successful music teaching facility for a number of years. We have organised and run many Rock Schools for secondary and sixth form students throughout Southern England.
But why should the kids get all the fun?
We are now offering companies an exciting and fun team building opportunity to spend a day working and per forming in a band. The need to work as a team in a band situation is one of the most important skills needed.

No musical experience is required, as our team of qualified tutors will guide you through the basics of the instrument you wish to under take on the day.
This is a fantast ic event for a group team building exercise or just a great day out for all your staff. The emphasis is on having a fun and productive day out and will give you and your staff the opportunity to experience new skills that most only dream of!
Example of a day at Rock School;

9:30 Introduction and meet the Rock School team / Coffee
10:00 Have a go at all instruments and make your choice.
11:00 Break/Coffee (this is the time we get you into your bands)
11:30 Discuss tunes to be performed and into your rehearsal rooms
13:15 Buffet lunch
13:45 Back to rooms for more rocking! Practice.
15:45 Break
16:15 Get ready to rock and perform song(s) to everyone else,
17:30 Encore!

All food and drink for the day will be supplied. Throughout the day you will be helped and guided by our friendly and experienced staff.
We can cater for a minimum of 6, to a maximum of 20 people.

We hold our Rock School on Friday’s and we use our professional studio in Robertsbridge, East Sussex. You are more than welcome to bring your own instrument if you wish. A few days later every member of your group will receive a DVD of your performance to keep.

We can also offer a mobile service to a location near your place of work but we would need a minimum of 50 people to make that operational.

Our Rock School format can be very flexible and we are always open to any special requests from your company. Many businesses like to put their own mark on the day and we are only too happy to tailor to your needs.

We also do half-day accelerated package if you just want to do a Friday afternoon rock into the weekend.

Standard package price; Please note that prices are based on the example day shown above. For tailor made requests, extra charges may apply. Price includes VAT.

11 to 20 people £140 pp (£80 h/d)
21 to 30 people £120 pp (£60 h/d)
31 to 40 people £105 pp (£45 h/d)
