Appleyard Studios Opens For Business 

Appleyard Studios was officially opened in October 2009 by Chris Difford from the band “Squeeze”, and can be found nestled in the heart of the East Sussex countryside near Robertsbridge.

It was the brainchild of Jeff Topp, who has worked as a professional guitarist and tutor for many years and runs the successful “Topp Strings” guitar tuition company.

He has also worked extensively within the music industry and has gained a reputation for being professional in all aspects of music.

Initially, the idea was to have a modern and clean place to teach from. But, as the planning stage got underway, it was apparent it was going to turn into a full-blown recording and rehearsal studios. With the help of friend Oliver Lawson, now chief engineer and business partner, Appleyard has turned into a top class establishment capable of delivering high quality recording services for not just musicians, but all who enjoy the art of music.

Jeff’s main aim was to break down the myths of the studio and open it up to everyone who wants to fulfil their musical dreams.
